Whilst the Olympic Games remain the ultimate career milestone for many athletes, talent and determination alone are not enough to create great stories. You also need elite coaching and preparation. That's why the General Sports Administration (Adeps) has been giving its full support to federations and current and future elite athletes by granting them various forms of financial and structural aid. Thanks to this support, French-speaking athletes can benefit from high-quality sports coaching and take part in training camps or elite competitions in Belgium or abroad.
Adeps also supports elite sport by funding an inter-university sports performance support network (CAPS) and by granting work contracts to a number of elite or promising athletes affiliated to a French-speaking sports federation.
Adeps provides real support for elite athletes through employment contracts, support services for elite sport and dual careers, and substantial financial support for sports federations.
Last but not least, Adeps provides a large part of the funding for French-speaking athletes to take part in the Olympic Games.
