“Be a Winner In elite Sports and Employment before and after athletic Retirement,” abbreviated as B-WISER, is a two-year project focused on the employment of (former) elite athletes. The project started in 2017. Thirteen international partners (including the BOIC) and 39 experts from six European countries are conducting research on how athletes and former athletes can transition more effectively to the labor market.

B-WISER receives financial support from the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.

Professor Paul Wylleman of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel coordinates the project. The BOIC and the BPC (Belgian Paralympic Committee) contribute to the project through their expertise in the Athlete Career Programme (ACP).
