Any use of this Website, in whole or in part, by a (lawful) user (“User”) is subject to these General Terms and Conditions.
2. Subject and Purpose
The general purpose of the Website is to provide general and specific information about the activities and organization of BOIC, including news items, events, and projects that it (co-)organizes or is involved in.
Through the Website, BOIC also processes and provides (relevant) information relating to its Sources, which information has either been collected by BOIC in the context of its activities or made available to BOIC directly by its Sources or indirectly through public channels such as social media.
“Sources” refers to: all natural persons who may be eligible to be part of a delegation for a multidisciplinary competition during the 2013–2016 Olympiad or who directly or indirectly perform official or unofficial tasks in the preparation of athletes, as well as sports federations, leagues, BOIC’s commercial and institutional partners, and national and international sports organizations recognized by the IOC.
3. Content of the Website and Liability
The BOIC takes the utmost care in creating and updating the Website, as well as in editing, moderating, and verifying its content. Although BOIC makes every effort to ensure that the content of this Website is as comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date as possible, BOIC cannot guarantee that this information will always meet all these criteria.
In addition, the Website provides information—particularly on personalized or non-personalized pages of its Sources—that has been made publicly available by the Sources themselves, directly or indirectly, through social media such as public pages on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other channels through which Sources share public data, over which BOIC has no control (“Social Media”).
