Since early 2023, the BOIC has been part of the two-year Erasmus+ project “Supporting Mental Health through the Entourage in High-Performance Sport” (MENTiS).
The project is led by the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and aims to strengthen initiatives around mental health within high-performance and talent development organizations in Europe by focusing on the entourage of athletes (e.g., coaches, support staff, and others). The project seeks to develop scientifically grounded didactic tools and instruments to help organizations further support and improve their mental health services for athletes and members of their entourage.
The MENTiS project brings together 28 experts in the field of high-performance sport and mental health. They represent 8 different organizations from 6 European countries (Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom).
